Support and advocate for outdoor recreation. Build and maintain trails. Keep Alaska Awesome.

We are a regional partnership advocating for outdoor recreation in Southeast Alaska.

The Tongass Recreation Partnership is made up of Alaskan organizations and individuals with an interest in outdoor recreation in Southeast Alaska. The Partnership was formed in 2024 to advocate for outdoor recreation in the new Tongass Forest Plan.

In addition to advocating for greater attention to outdoor recreation, our group has collected local input and offered guidance on policy for managing outdoor recreation in the Tongass.

The Tongass Recreation Partnership is made up of Alaskan trail-building organizations, rural economic development, municipal governments, user groups, and individuals with expertise in Southeast Alaska’s unique landscape.
